Late in the night of Saturday, June 17th, 2023 and into Sunday morning, winds up to 100mph whipped through the city of Tulsa and surrounding areas, leaving catastrophic damage in their wake. With power lines down all over the metro area, as many as 250,000 people were left without power for 5 days and counting. Enormous trees lie cracked and uprooted in every neighborhood, with homes, vehicles, and other property damaged.
Repairs will be ongoing for the foreseeable future; we know many folks in our Native community here have suffered significant financial losses due to this catastrophic storm, and even if we can only offset a small amount of the financial burden, we want to help.
