Join us for a hands-on Leather Pouch Workshop with Britteny Cuevas-Brown (Muscogee/Quapaw).We’ll be learning what goes into making a traditional leather pouch and you’ll leave with a finished bag and medicine to fill it with. Feel free to bring your beading supplies if you’d like to bead your pouch during class.
What we’ll learn: Learning to prep and work with materials, separating sinew into workable pieces, threading the needle, how to cut deer hide (leather work) & how to use a Running Stitch or Baseball Stitch
REGISTRATION REQUIRED – LIMITED SPOTS
We will contact all RSVPs the day before to confirm attendance. If you RSVP but don’t attend without contacting us, it may limit your ability to join future workshops. We want to make sure spots go to relatives who can be there.
