Burning Cedar Sovereign Wellness may photograph and/or record audio and video at community events for use in social media, newsletters, and grant reporting. All events held at our community center display a notice at the entrance informing attendees that photography may occur and explaining how to opt out. Attendees who RSVP through our event registration also receive advance notice in their confirmation. Any attendee who requests not to be photographed will be accommodated immediately and without question. Staff and volunteers taking photographs are made aware of this policy and any opt-outs prior to or at the start of each event. We exercise particular care around minors, sensitive cultural moments, and any ceremony or programming where photography is inappropriate, and we defer to community and cultural norms in those situations. Images are reviewed before posting or submission to funders. This policy applies to all events regardless of size or format.
